Youth Fed are proud to announce the Trade The Blade Day – Anti Knife Crime and Personal Safety. Hosted at our partner venue Safety Central in Lymm.
December 18th will be an opportunity to see what we can deliver to the young people in your areas.
Trade The Blade is an Anti-Knife crime programme run by Youth Fed and funded by The Home Office. Throughout the project we will work directly with Young People aged 15 to 18 who live in Runcorn and Widnes, Ellesmere Port and Macclesfield. The project will consist of:
- Awareness workshops on gangs, knives, personal safety and first aid.
- High Impact experiential talks.
- Prison visits.
- 1-2 hours of mentoring.
New figures show Cheshire knife crime has risen in 2016-17 by almost 10% above the national average with a 52% increase, compared to the national average increase of 44%. We will be working with a range of agencies to support the programme across the areas.
If you would like to find out more about how we can support young people or have a referral or a group you would like us to work you can speak to the program leader Jaf Din on the day or contact him as follows:
