We are excited to announce a collaboration with global charity World Merit!
We will be working together to deliver activities to benefit young people as well as encourage them to continue to take action against social issues following their graduation from our courses and programmes.
Youth Fed deliver a range of programmes to help young people achieve their full potential which often provides them with their first experience of volunteering and social action. Through the partnership, World Merit will build on these initial experiences and provide an online platform where young people can record and collaborate across the world, allowing them to continue to deliver social action programmes that will change their communities and the world for the better.
Young people based in the North West who attend Youth Fed programmes such as NCS (National Citizen Service) will automatically ‘graduate’ onto World Merit and will be supported to form local councils and have the opportunity to become Global Council Members. Through the World Merit online platform these young people will be able to record, measure and promote the impact of their work, collaborating with World Merit Councils and Teams from across the globe.
To get started, young people will choose a goal out of World Merit’s 17 sustainable development goals including zero hunger, gender equality and climate action. The more action taken, the more merit points will be given to unlock rewards such as experience days and an all-expenses paid trip to the 2019 United Nations Action Week in Cancun, Mexico.
Simply sign up, choose a goal and get busy. Visit www.worldmerit.org/youthfed to sign up and find out more.
