Today, Youth Fed thanked two long-serving Trustees as they step down from the Board after more than a decade of service to the charity, which delivers vital support to young people across the North West of England.
Peter Bibby and Glyn Carter have been dedicated and proactive Trustees since joining in 2014, each bringing extensive private sector experience that contributed to a long period of financial stability and sound governance. Their passion for improving the lives of young people has been evident throughout their tenure, helping Youth Fed expand its reach and impact to support thousands of young people every year.
Chris Hindley OBE, CEO of Youth Fed, said: “Peter and Glyn have been true champions of Youth Fed and the young people we serve. Their wisdom, generosity, and steadfast commitment have left a lasting mark on the charity’s culture and direction. They embody what great trusteeship looks like.”
As Secretary, Glyn Carter has been an invaluable support to the charity, helping to strengthen Youth Fed’s governance and shaping its approach to legislative compliance and accountability. His diligence and attention to detail have ensured the organisation consistently meets the highest standards of charity governance, providing a strong foundation for the Board and leadership team.
Peter Bibby has played an instrumental role in shaping Youth Fed’s services, offering insight and challenge that have helped the charity remain responsive to the evolving needs of youth groups across the region. His deep understanding of the sector and commitment to improving opportunities for young people have been central to ensuring Youth Fed’s programmes continue to deliver meaningful and lasting impact.
Chair of Trustees Martin Pearson added: “I was very grateful for the support and guidance of Glyn and Peter when I joined the Youth Fed Board, and on behalf of the Trustees, it feels only right to recognise their fantastic contributions in helping the charity adapt to an increasingly challenging operating landscape. Financially astute and deeply committed, both could be relied upon to ensure our resources were carefully managed through both good and difficult times.”
Peter Bibby and Glyn Carter stepped down as Trustees at the Charity’s AGM, held at Youth Fed’s Head Office in Ellesmere Port.
