get with the programme

We support over 5,000 young people across the North West. This wouldn’t have been possible without the generosity and support of our Partners and Funders. Help us to help more young people, including those that need extra support the most. Help us make a lasting change.

How does funding help?

Youth Fed aims to make a positive difference in society by engaging, empowering and enriching the lives of young people, supporting them to achieve their full potential in life.

We rely on the generous donations of organisations and individuals to deliver the programmes that young people are asking for. Providing equal chances in life for all is our passion, and we promote inclusion and social mobility through five key areas of work: mental health and wellbeing support; skills for life and work; information, advice and guidance; social action opportunities; and youth group support.

Can you help us to enrich the lives of the young people who need us most?

£250 will provide a mental health awareness course for youth workers.

£1,000 will enable us to support a young person with complex needs on a one-to-one basis for 10 sessions.

£5,000 could help us to roll-out our money management and financial awareness programme in a new area.

Last financial year, Youth Fed received support from 39 separate funders

“Youth Fed changes young people’s lives, the one to one work they deliver and the pathways they create separates them from other charities.”

Our early intervention mental health support programme was developed as young people in Cheshire were waiting over 6 months for NHS support. Youth Fed can provide one-to-one support for those young people suffering mental ill health.

Young person aged 14: “These sessions have helped me so much. I feel I can talk about what is on my mind and worrying me and it helps me to work through stuff. I have a lot of stuff to work through, but you don’t mind and never judge . Thank you for coming to see me face to face during the half term break too. The wise mind technique has helped me understand there are different ways to think about things and I can be more realistic in my thinking now. Thank you so so much.”

Parent of a young person experiencing heightened anxiety and suicidal ideation: “Thank you for the difference you make and for your help. Without this help at this time it would be unthinkable for us. Thank you again”

We are looking for further funding to roll out this much needed mental health programme.

Our partners

Partners are key in helping us improve the lives of young people within the North West, making a real impact is always a team effort!
One of our largest partnership programmes is The Cheshire and Warrington Pledge, which we deliver in partnership with the Cheshire and Warrington Enterprise Partnership as well as many other partners. Find out more about the Pledge programme here to see how Youth Fed works in partnership.

Youth Fed has been fortunate to be supported by so many wonderful funders over the years and we must recognise our longevity as a charity that’s been around for over 70 years would not have been possible without so many supportive funders.
