We have teamed up with The Westminster Foundation, an independent organisation lead by The Duke Of Westminster, to deliver an online event to help young adults shape their future.
The free virtual event will be held on Thursday 25th February at 4:30pm. The event, named ‘Refocused!’, will be aimed at young people aged between 17 and 19 who may still be in education, need additional support or are currently out of education, employment or training. The event is being funded by the Westminster Foundation as part of their support for our September Promise programme, which works with local schools to identify and connect with school leavers who are not progressing in academia in order to help them find work.
The online event will give young people the chance to learn new skills and hear about local opportunities from spokespersons from The Princes Trust, CF Fertilisers, Lloyds Bank, Cheshire West College, and a life coach. The event aims to empower young people to explore new opportunities, and there will be a Q&A session at the end, giving attendees the chance to ask any questions and get invaluable advice.
CEO at Youth Fed, Chris Hindley commented: “We are really excited to be working with The Westminster Foundation for this online event.
“We often see young people come to us as they are behind on job applications or are struggling to find motivation to look for employment or training opportunities, and we are positive that this event will give these people the advice they need to kickstart their next chapter in life.”
Operations Manager at The Princes Trust, Paula Marshall added: “The Prince’s Trust believes it’s always a good time for young people to start something – begin with the realisation that you have something to offer and remember it can take time to truly believe in yourself.”
