As a young person’s Charity, we abhor the violence being suffered by children and young people in Ukraine and stand in solidarity with them and their families. We also empathise with the hardship of those children and young people who have been forced to leave their homes and the dislocation from their normal lives this has caused. The hearts of everyone at Youth Federation go out to those members of our community with loved ones, friends, and family impacted by the terrible situation in Ukraine at this time.
We also recognise the tremendous anxiety and stress that a war in mainland Europe is causing to young people here in the North West of England. Therefore, we have commissioned a series of online sessions to be delivered through our mental health & well-being programme, aimed at providing young people with the tools to better cope.
We ask the UK Government to do everything in its power to end this conflict and protect the children, young people, and families of Ukraine.
