Youth Federation receives £150,000 from the Santander Foundation 

New funding from the Santander Foundation will support Youth Federation to increase financial literacy and skills in young people aged 14-25 in Cheshire. Working with schools, youth groups and uniformed youth organisations, as well as a local Financial Management company, young people will become financially empowered through group learning sessions, as well as more intense mentoring support where requested. 

Financial sessions will include topics, such as: 

 Young people will also benefit from increased digital skills, including cyber security and managing money safely online, as well as learning about training and employment opportunities in the finance sector. 

The funding awarded comes from the Santander Foundation, an independent grant making foundation funded and supported by Santander UK. The foundation is supporting Youth Federation as part of a £4.8m funding programme to digitally and financially empower people across the UK. Judith Moran, the Santander Foundation Chair said, “We’re delighted to be working alongside and supporting Youth Federation, with their expertise and approach this funding will positively change the lives of thousands of young people over the 3-year funded programme.”
