What is it?

Positive Pathways focuses on supporting participants who are at a crossroads in their lives, helping to stabilise circumstances, prevent reoffending, build resilience and manage stress. Ultimately, the aim is to help participants reintegrate and feel part of their local community again.

Young people will have access to therapists, psychologists and mental health practitioners with support tailored to individual needs.  Sessions will use a variety of approaches including positive diversion activities (e.g. sport, music), inspirational guest speakers and interactive workshops.

Support will also be offered around:

  • county lines and exploitation
  • lifestyle choices
  • drugs and alcohol
  • securing stable accommodation
  • rebuilding relationships with family and peers
  • rights and responsibilities
  • next steps

The programme will cover travel costs, lunch will be provided and there will also be a small participant allowance for interview clothes etc.

Positive Pathways is 1 day a week for 12 weeks and includes one-to-one support and group sessions.
