Nick’s Story
Nick initially signed up to Talent Match which offers individually tailored mentor support for the most vulnerable young people aged 15-29.
Before joining the Talent Match programme, Nick was in rehab as a result of a drug problem. He was introduced to Talent Match by his key worker. Since joining the programme, Nick has gained a First Aid certificate and is also on a Business Administration course.
As part of his recovery from drug abuse, Nick was motivated to give back to the community. As a result, he became involved with the Gunjur Project and designed activity packs for the local children in Gambia to educate them on handwashing and staying safe during COVID-19.
