Sam’s Story
Sam initially signed up to Talent Match which offers individually tailored mentor support for the most vulnerable young people aged 15-29.
Before joining the Talent Match programme, Sam was job-seeking but found the process frustrating and demotivating. His Job Centre coach referred him to the programme for some support with gaining a first aid certificate and for support with job seeking.
Sam made the final stage of the recruitment process for the NCS programme before it was sadly put on hold due to lockdown. Throughout lockdown, Sam has been able to maintain a good level of motivation and has taken up hobbies in woodwork and learning the guitar. He feels more confident and focused and now has a clear plan of what work he is looking for.
