Who’s it for
Young people aged 16-25 living in Cheshire West and Chester
What is it?
One to one intensive support programme.
Our mentors provide intensive, tailored, mentoring support to young people who can contact us direct, but are often referred by many trusted partners, including job centre plus, housing associations and the Youth Offending Team. Our mentors work with them for around 10-12 weeks in areas, such as:
• Housing
• Benefits
• Improving family relationships (and support network)
• Money management (including budgeting)
• Independent living skills (i.e., cooking, signposting to foodbanks where necessary)
• Preparing for Education, Training or Employment Opportunities
• Mental health support needs
• Improving life / social skills (confidence, communication)
• Any other factors (such as addictions to alcohol, drugs, gambling, etc.)
After their time with the Back on Track programme, young people are supported to access other internal and/or external opportunities to carry on their progress and continue to look at ways to improve their lives.
Thank you to Charles Hayward Foundation and Nationwide for funding this programme and enabling us to make a difference to the lives of young people.
